– Concern for the environment is one of the pillars of our Triple Positive Impact #People #Planet #Profit strategy. By acting responsibly in energy use, mobility and biodiversity in our facilities, we reduce our carbon footprint. We actively participate in the activities of institutions supporting sustainable development – emphasizes Agnieszka Gutowska, Director of Marketing, Communications and CSR at Nhood Poland.

For several years, Nhood Poland has been cooperating with the United Nations Environment Programme/GRID Warsaw Centre – an organization carrying out the mission of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) in Poland.

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the United Nations Environment Programme and the 50th anniversary of the Stockholm Conference, during which the initiative was established, a conference entitled “Only One Earth” was held in Warsaw on 3 June. Nhood Poland was a partner of this event, and representatives of the company took part in it.

The participants discussed current challenges for the climate. The meeting ended with a ceremonial reading of the #OnlyOneEarth manifesto containing a declaration of support for UN activities towards climate protection, peace, welfare and justice in the world.

The manifesto can be read at www.DlaPlanety.pl.

Nhood Poland supports the “Only One Earth” campaign, which emphasizes how important it is to act so that one day we can live on Earth in harmony with nature and each other. The websites and social media of the shopping centers and malls managed by Nhood Poland will feature information on the key UNEP activities which the organization has been undertaking for half a century. Issues such as the condition of the ecosystems of the seas and oceans, desertification and the ozone layer still require action.

The theme of the World Environment Day each year in Poland creates the context for activities in the year-long social campaign „Zielona Wstążka #DlaPlanety” [“Green Ribbon #ForThePlanet”].
