Shopping safety confirmed by Safe Guard certificates

9. 06. 2021

Seven shopping centers managed by Nhood Poland received international SafeGuard certificates confirming that they meet sanitary requirements related to preventing the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus.

SafeGuard certificates are awarded after a detailed verification process carried out by the independent certifying entity Bureau Veritas. The auditor assessed the compliance of the solutions used in the shopping centers with sanitary and legal requirements related to the prevention of the spread of the coronavirus. In-depth verification carried out by Bureau Veritas included the assessment of operating procedures and an independent audit in the facility in the form of an inspection.

Currently, the SafeGuard certificate has been awarded to seven shopping centers managed by Nhood Poland – the Auchan Bielany Shopping Center, the Auchan Gdańsk Shopping Center, the Auchan Gliwice Shopping Center, the Auchan Hetmańska Shopping Center in Białystok, the Auchan Krasne Shopping Center, Galeria Bronowice in Kraków and Galeria Łomianki near Warsaw.

– The safety of our customers is our priority. From the moment the state authorities announced the state of epidemic threat in March 2020, we have been implementing appropriate procedures in this regard in our shopping centers. We carefully monitor changes in the applicable regulations and adapt to them. I am glad that these activities have been appreciated by independent auditors granting the SafeGuard certificate – says Aleksandra Dubrawska, Property Management Director at Nhood Poland.

Obtaining the SafeGuard certificate allows the shopping centers to use symbols confirming compliance with the highest hygiene standards. Additionally, each facility with the SafeGuard certificate has been described on the RestartYourBusiness platform. It can be used to check which shopping centers have already been verified in terms of sanitary procedures and are SafeGuard certified, and which are under verification.
