The RS Architecture of Landscape studio won the architectural competition for the concept of a city park to be developed as part of the mixed-use Wilanów Park project carried out by Nhood Poland.

The two-hectare green space, which will be an integral part of the multifunctional Wilanów Park investment, will be the first public park in Warsaw created by a private investor. The winners of the architectural competition co-organized by the Nhood Poland team and the Warsaw Branch of the Association of Architects SARP were chosen on May 7. The concept prepared by the RS Architecture of Landscape studio from Konstancin-Jeziorna won. The full list of winners is available on the website of the Warsaw Branch of SARP https://konkurs-park-wilanow.sarp.warszawa.pl.

In the justification of the verdict, the judges emphasized that the winning design was characterized by the best adaptation to the location and its needs, and appropriately emphasised viewing areas while maintaining the individual character of the city park. The composition aspects and aesthetics of the proposed solutions were highly appreciated. The judges also gave high marks for the selection of environmentally friendly solutions in terms of functionality and cost-saving.

Wilanów Park is a mixed-use investment – a new generation space which combines various functions, including green areas with entertainment, food services, and commercial functions. The idea of the Wilanów Park project is to create a place which provides the residents of Wilanów and the surrounding areas with a multifunctional space. In addition to the conservatory and restaurants, a cinema, and office and service areas, there will also be local initiatives and events dedicated to seniors.

The investment assumes numerous environmentally-friendly solutions which will have an impact on the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions, the local retention of rainwater, and will ensure biodiversity. The project also provides for a city bike station and a cargo-bike station, promoting sustainable mobility. Ceetrus Poland is the owner of the land on which the mixed-use investment of Wilanów Park is being built, and the Nhood Poland team is responsible for planning its purposes and functions.
